Paving and Blacktop

For many projects, asphalt paving provides a cost-effective, durable, and highly maintainable alternative to concrete. Asphalt is often the best choice, not only for streets, but for parking areas, driveways, longer private lanes and even for congenial walkways.

SRP has the expertise, backed by experience, to ensure that your project, large or small, will be designed and built to support anticipated traffic, with appropriate slope and drainage.

New hot asphalt projects must be undertaken when the outside temperature is above 10 degrees Celsius, and preferably at about 20 degrees. If repairs must be made to an existing older surface at other times, SRP can provide interim repairs, and then a complete job can be done once seasons change.

Over time, pavement can deteriorate if it was on an inadequate subgrade, if it was subject to traffic overload, lack of maintenance, or if surface/subsurface drainage issues contributed to frost heaving. Contact SRP when an existing area is best removed and rebuilt from start.

The long-term durability of a paving project is highly dependent on its base, and SRP will ensure ensure that the subgrade on new or repair jobs will be to the same standards as for its concrete projects. This reduces risk of settling and unnecessary cracking. Rocky substrate does not present insurmountable problems for our ripper.
